This is only my opinion but I feel if you are representing our country abroad you should dress to a high standard.
maybe I’m biased as I’m a bespoke tailor.
but MPs seem to feel they are more connected to the people if they don’t wear a tie. I do hope in time this phase changes and we make dressing like a gentleman compulsory.
